Programs are available for children ages 3-5 and children who are age appropriate for kindergarten but not quite ready. Children must be age 3 before December 1 for the 3's program or age 4 before December 1 for the 4's program. All programs run September through the first week of June; 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM.

3's Programs:

Two Days: Tuesday and Friday

Three Days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

4's Programs:

Three Days: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday

Five Days: Monday - Friday

Preschool Philosophy

It is the philosophy of Park Terrace Nursery School that young children learn most effectively when they have the opportunity to explore their environment and experience a variety of materials and situations. As preschool teachers, we recognize teacher flexibility within the curriculum is necessary to adapt activities according to the needs of the children.

Park Terrace Nursery School's program uses Developmentally Appropriate Practices to provide a safe and caring environment that stimulates the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children. Our program is committed to providing an innovative curriculum with materials, activities and teaching methods that are based on the principles of child development and the Developmentally Appropriate guidelines from the National Association of the Education of Young Children.
